MEGA-UPDATE

Alright, I think I shall segregate my posts, because my other blog is looking really sparse right now.

WTHDUTIA: Japanese culture, long posts, babes
insanejake: amusing pictures, my life

Since these will probably crossover I will just arbitrarily post wherever I feel like, lol

Btw, my rina koike post has been moved to the other blog.

New school, new friends and new stress! I actually think I can do better in KI than in GP, however since I forgot to go for the test I have no chance to confirm my belief. Oh well, time to buck up for GP!
My vocabulary is mediocre, my spelling sucks and my grammar is a disaster so yeah, I really have to go into a total English life from now on, not let my A1 in english put my head in the clouds.

PICTURES TIME
they’re in reverse chronological order

My biggest toy haul yet. They are: Daivoyager, Transformers Animated Starscream and Grimlock, Beach side ver. Haruhi Suzumiya and a stand for my Kamen Rider Kiva figure.
toys haul

For more photos of Haruhi, I’m probably doing a photo shoot soon.
Haruhi!

I saw this warning on a Transformers box while shopping: “This is not a toy.” I laughed at the irony. Yeah, but nowadays toys are for the men and boys are growing up all too fast to even think of playing with toys. No, they want to be the next Yao Ming or Idol or whatever.

Orientation at SAJC was supercalifragilisticexpaladocious! The final day was the best. At first I was abit peeved at being volunteered to do the Kingdom Dance, but it turned out to be really fun! Beat it was really great too. Not too hot about Shake it, but the shaking part was fun.

My haul last saturday, cheetor and Ena from Yotsubato!. More pictures on the other blog(when I remember to post them).

Trekked Bukit Timah Hill with Lehung after I handed in my appeal form to NJC(fyi, I failed) Here’s a freaking huge spider, it’s very well camouflaged.

Bright Hill(Guang Ming Shan) was super crowded on CNY eve. This was taken in the afternoon, so you can imagine what it was like in the morning rush.

Wall mural at the monastery. I love Asian culture and this extends beyond Japan and into Chinese culture as well. This was taken when I took a break from the smokey praying area. Argh. I can’t handle joss stick smoke at all

I have a great idea for a drama. Remake of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, but set it in a modern Singapore. either office politics or school sports drama. Probably school drama. Then have the roles gender reversed so we up the sex appeal. Martial Arts would be more authentic but not very appealing. Something like volleyball or Track and Field?

Imagine the story as 2 school teams fight it out on the court/stadium. Off the court there are catfights and as guys use their looks to seduce the leads and back stab them (just as the women in the original did). Whooooo!

Currently watching Library Wars, which is basically military anime+a hint of romance comedy. Set in the future, Japan has two factions fighting it out, the Library Task Force and the media-controlling group(forgot their name). A girl has joined the task force to follow her Prince Charming, the soldier who saved her book from being confiscated by the media group.

Today went gym with Shawn, half an hour then sian le. Go play street soccer. Fell and scrapped my knee. Changed to goalkeeper. Dived(for like the 1st time in my life) and blood dripped on the floor or something lol. so when you go play street soccer at tampines, you may be stepping on my blood.

Got this fucking Indian kid damn pro. His only problem is he must say Ronaldo before doing tricks. So I kp him by saying “wo wo wo, Ronaldo sia”; felt damn good. I couldn’t play at all. Too noob, opposing Mats keep laughing whenever I have the ball, don’t even dare to run forward or dribble. But all in all, great learning experience.

wanted to go shop afterwards for…stuff…but too tired. So ate sushi and went home.

I like a girl who’s beautiful, intelligent, athletic and eccentric.

She doesn’t want to use any of her traits(except for being eccentric).

She’s totally unbearable to be next to.

She’s energetic!

=)

And her name is Suzumiya Haruhi! Were you expecting somebody else?HAHAHA

Shall post some haruhi!

else?

HEY!

“A female character who runs ‘hot and cold’; flipping between◊ aggressive and confrontational (tsuntsun, meaning “aloof” or “cranky”) and affectionate or sentimental (deredere, meaning “lovestruck”). “

This just the original meaning, like many words adapted into the internet(ecchi, hentai, etc) This now means a “hot-and-cold” personlity. Where the person treats people differently. Gentle, then changing to violent, then change again.

Kinokuniya trip

Today I went to Orchard, more specifically Kinokuniya, ’cause stay at home will die of boredom de.

So I was walking past the Hyatt hotel and I passed by Woannni and her bunch of friends. Her group and I were walking too fast so I didn’t get to say ‘hi’ properly to her, but I was not too concerned at the moment ’cause I was gonna reach the heavenly bookstore of all geeks, Kinokuniya!(But it was a tremendous morale boost anyways =D=D=D)

And what a heaven, chock a block of English, Chinese and Japanese manga! Oh, and children’s books in Japanese too! I saw 2 young boys reading it and have some sort of discussion, like it was a philosophy. It was some kinda Pokemon book. I felt abit stupid, watching anime for so long, yet still not understanding what the book was about, or their discussion. Then the mother of one boy came to pick him up.

Kinokuniya attracts Geek Males and their gender counterpart the Geek Female. I saw a couple of young Geek Females that were still XiaoMeiMei, which is nice. Japanese have
made me appreciate the Delicious Flat Chest.

Then I saw the stereotypical Geek Female. THE FAT YAOI GIRL(FYG). The FYG is the direct counterpart of the Nerd. She’s fat, into girlish men gay-ing with each other, and more disgustingly, openly discusses it. There were 2 of them, but in order to preserve my morale I decided not to observe them.

Since Kinokuniya attracts little Japanese boys, it will likewise bring the middle aged women with them. They usually buy magazines, and have a husband and stroller with them. I feel that Japanese may be trying for a 2nd invasion of Singapore, this time with Anime and little boys to win us over with cute-ness(or as they say, KAWAII DESU NE~)

In the end I bought the “Bleach Official Bootleg”, the 3rd volume of Yotsuba&!(which Gaius knows about, which I was so stunned to learn) and Climbing Mount Improbable by Richard Dawkins(author of The God Delusion).

I’ve already read Climbing Mount Improbable, but it’s good book about Evolution so I bought it.

I ate some Japanese grilled fish for dinner with my Mom. Then to complete my pilgrimage of Japanesee stuff, I bought a 1GB memory stick for my phone so I can watch Anime and Sentai on my phone. Sweet!

All in all, a good day.

Catching pokemon

How to catch a Charizard.(or the pokemon of your choice)

1. Throw rocks at it
Throwing rocks may scare away the Pokemon, but, how to get its attention? Of course you have to do something. So throwing rocks and slightly humiliating it will do greatly. Pokemon need tough trainers, and not sissy trainers who let Pokemon do everything. Just don’t overdo it or it will be scared and run away.

2. Throw some food
Throwing food will allow you to get closer to it. Of course it also increases the difficulty of catching it, but without offering it something, it would be wary of you. But do not give it too much food. Giving it too much food will make it think that you are just a “free food” machine and nothing more.

3. Train on low level pokemon first
If you’re a level 6 bulbasaur, you can’t possibly go fight a Charizard right? Practice on weedles and ratattas. Of course, they are different types and levels, so got different strategy to take it down, but the gist is there.

4. See many pokemon
The more pokemon you see, the more you will get used to the Charizard (or whatever pokemon) and the more you will discover how to catch the Charizard. Pokemon will also like popular trainers who are “confirmed” to be good trainers. Thus, what you want to do is to know as many pokemon as possible, so that your real target will be attracted to you more. It also allows you to grind your levels.

5. Read guides
It’s like when you get stuck, you need a walkthrough from gamefaqs.com right? So must learn from experts who know how to catch pokemon and are seasoned trainers.

Infer from this, please.

I BOUGHT A HARUHI SZUMIYA PHONE STRAP!! Damn nice and metal. 4.90 at comics connection.

I also bought a bleach art book. 32$(but got 20% discount) DAMN NICE. The best pics were the fold out of all the vice captains, and the beach scene featuring every lady(mostly not lady-like) of Bleach.

Lastly, I bought a book called “The God Delusion” by Richard Dawkins, an evolutionary professor. It will be a weapon against religious people and my bible to try and convince those poor ignorant people who believe in Deities and Gods.

I love Christmas.

Except for the jesus part.
